1949 The Bristol Colts undefeated semi-pro football team of 1949-1951 outscored their opponents, 707-88, and captured the unofficial 1951 New England semi-pro championship; many of the eleven's home games were played at Warren's Jamiel's Park. Players on the team from Warren, either at the time or later in life, included star quarterback Smally Primiano (13, front row), Pat Annarummo (16, in front row), Topper Catalfano (third from right, middle row), Jim Doherty (far right, middle row), and Jim Sousa (second from right, top row). Warren players who were absent when the picture was taken were Mike Annunziata, Pete Primiano, and Joe Smus. (Smally Primiano is a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame.)
