2002 Gabe Accardi, winner of the 143-pound division at the GNC National Arm Wrestling Championships, was quoted in Sports Illustrated. (In 1988 Hall of Fame Gabe captured the World Arm Wrestling title in the one hundred and thirty-five pound class.)
