BRIAN BEAUSOLEIL (Contributor, Class of 2013)

After wrestling at Warren High School, Brian Beausoleil became involved in running, both as a competitor and as a volunteer.

He has competed in hundreds of races, including fifty-plus marathons.  His fastest time at the Boston marathon, for which he has qualified more than ten times, was two hours and forty-six minutes.  And on numerous occasions he was the first Warren male finisher in the Warren Substance Abuse 5K.

A member of the East Bay Striders for the past quarter century, he frequently served as either Director or Co-Chairman of the Warren Substance Abuse 5K.  He has also been the Race Director of the Kayleigh Raposa 5K and Director of runs on New Year’s Day, Cross Country in the Park and Summer Trail Runs at Colt State Park, and in the Senior Ocean State Games.

For the last decade Brian has been the boys and girls cross country and track coach at the Bristol-Warren School District’s Kickemuit Middle School.

And since 2007 he has been that school’s Athletic Director.  During this half-decade stretch Kickemuit has captured middle school championships in baseball, cheerleading, and girls soccer.
